Welcome to Soar With Words!
Heather and Karina are an SLP/SLPA team passionate about supporting dyslexic learners. Together they empower other speech therapists to recognize and understand their role in early identification and early intervention of dyslexia through upstream thinking. Helping SLPs/SLPAs apply their existing knowledge and clinical skills to support those struggling reading that are already in the speech room early is their main focus. Heather and Karina are co-authors of Soar With Words School on teachable where they offer dyslexia education.
Heather Caska, MS, CCC-SLP is a certified speech language pathologist with over 10 years of experience. She is also the owner of HBC Language and Literacy.
Karina Kadhi, BS, SLPA is a licensed speech language pathology assistant with over 9 years of experience in pediatric intervention in both school and private settings.
